Selva Sannithi Temple is a Murugan kovil which is situated in Thondaimanaaru, Jaffna. This temple is famous for Noon lunch that means in Tamil "Annathaanam" that means every day in that temple Rice and curry will provided. So that the god is well known as "Annathaanakkanthan"

Keerimalai Hot Water Springs

Keerimalai is a natural spring lying next to the sea west of Palaly. A bathing tank is built surrounding this pool and only the walls separate the waters of the spring and the sea. Although the tank is so close to the sea, the water is fresh coming from an underground fresh water spring in Tellipallai-Maviddapuram.

Jaffna Library

Jaffna Library is one of the very useful source for all Jaffna people and also for all the people in the world. So many books, paper, novels etc...  we can read there and enjoy them. During 1980's this library
was burnt due to local war situations.

Delft Island Fort

The name Delft was chosen by Dutch. Tamils call it as Nedunthivu. Very little of the fort remains today. but the book “Romantic Ceylon: its history, legend, and story” By Ralph Henry Bassett describes the fort and the island in detail.

Jaffna Fort

Jaffna Fort is a fort built by the Portuguese at Jaffna, Sri Lanka in 1618. It was captured by the Dutch  In 1795,  it was taken over by the British, and remained under the control of a British garrison till 1948. Now it is under renovation.

Vallipuram Aalwar Temple


Vallipuram was an ancient capital of the Northern Kingdoms of Sri Lanka. Point Pedro is the nearest town. Vallipuram is a part of Thunnalai which is a village in eastern vadamarachi.
