Nagadeepa

Nagadeepa is in an Island situated in Northern Part of Sri Lanka, Jaffna. It is famous for 2 things.
1.  Shree Nagapooshani Amman
2. Nagadeepa Vihara

The name of the island alludes to the folklore inhabitants, the Naga people. Historians note the island is mentioned in the ancient Tamil Sangam literature of Tamil Nadu, and ancient Buddhist legends of Sri Lanka (Mahavamsa).
